Puppy Prep Visit (Single visit) Not sure you want or need the whole package? Book just the Puppy Prep Visit to start. (1) 1-hour visit At the client's home $60 (tax included) This discussion based appointment is tailored to your needs and your home. You may already have your puppy. Maybe you’re preparing for their arrival. Or you may still be in the planning stages and want some feedback on what breeds to consider, or how and where to find a puppy. Together we'll look at how your planned puppy will fit with your family and lifestyle. We'll review how to navigate common issues when bringing a fuzzy friend into a new space like setting realistic expectations for common puppy behaviours, making safe spaces, family rules, crate training, how to avoid accidents in the house, vet visits and more. If your puppy is present we may get a start on simple training at the end of the visit. By preparing ahead of time you can spend those first few days with your new family member playing and building your relationship instead of stressing. Let's make this transition as smooth as can be. Bring on the puppy! This appointment is intended for puppies under 6 months of age at the time of the appointment.

New Puppy Package (5 visits) (1) 1-hour Puppy Prep Visit before (or after) your puppy arrives. (4) 1-hour Private Training Sessions $300 (tax included) Getting a new puppy can be chaotic. Jump start your puppy prep by having the trainer help you plan ahead. Puppy Prep Visit - This discussion based appointment is tailored to your needs, family, and home. We'll review how to navigate common issues when bringing a fuzzy friend into a new space like setting realistic expectations for common puppy behaviours, making safe spaces, family rules, crate training, how to avoid accidents in the house, vet visits and more. If you already have your puppy, we may get a jump start on some simple management changes by the end of the visit. Are you only just discussing a puppy but haven’t decided on anything yet? We’ll spend time deciding the right puppy for you. Private Training Sessions -Once your new puppy has arrived and settled in, bring me back for four 1-hour training or follow-up appointments to answer questions and help set your puppy's behaviour off on the right track. Training can include: teething, appropriate play, beginner obedience such as sit and down, learning their name, leash skills, etc. Each lesson can be booked separately and when you need it. It might be all in the first month after puppy comes home, or several weeks between appointments. I recommend at least 1 week between so everyone has a chance for practicing new skills before moving on to the next. This package is intended for puppies under 6 months old at start of package. Remaining sessions will expire 1 year after purchase if not used.

Adult/Adolescent Dog (6 months +)

Consult (single visit) Do you have an older puppy or adolescent dog driving you crazy just by being their energetic, exuberant self? Let’s see if we can fix that. (1) 1-hour appointment At the Client's home $60 (tax included) This appointment is a meet and greet in your home with you and your puppy/dog. We’ll establish a baseline of current behaviour, training knowledge and your normal routines, and help set goals to bring that crazy down to a manageable level. We will get a jump start on simple management changes that can start right away. Depending on what goals are set, we will make a plan for future training sessions. Possible training topics might include: Teething, appropriate play, appropriate greetings, respecting thresholds, beginner obedience such as sit, down and come, learning their name, leash skills, etc. This is a required starting point for all dogs over 6 months old. This appointment can be done as a stand alone if you would like to explore whether I am the right trainer for you, with no requirement to commit to training. Training session packages will be available after the initial appointment. Please note that true behaviour change takes time. Multiple training sessions are a normal expectation for change.

Training Session Packages / Extensions Packages available for all ages of puppy/dog. Pre-requisite: Must have been seen by trainer within the last year or requires a consult visit first. A series of 1-hour follow-up or training visits at the clients home or agreed upon location. This session is tailored to the current needs of your dog and family. Appointment includes time at the beginning to review how the dog and client have been managing and provide focus for the training. Possible training topics might include: Teething, appropriate play, appropriate greetings, respecting thresholds, beginner obedience such as sit and down and come, learning their name, leash skills, etc. A 30-minute Follow-up session is for clients who are having trouble with a single aspect of their training plan that might need a reminder or a second set of eyes to see what they are missing. No new training is done, just tweaking of current training. Each session may be booked separately, as needed. Any remaining (unused) sessions will expire one year after purchase of package. Some cold weather and daylight only restrictions apply for certain types of training, such as outdoor leash skills.

Let me help you navigate the hot topics of guardian dogs with advice tailored to your unique set-up and livestock. This discussion based appointment on your property can go anywhere, but can include: finding a good breeder, fencing, raising a dog inside or outside, resource guarding, safety for guardian puppies, livestock exposure, routine handling, as well as current and outmoded training techniques. By preparing ahead of time you can set your LDG pup on the path to success.

Discussion topics can include: finding a good breeder, fencing, raising a dog inside or outside, resource guarding, safety for guardian puppies, livestock exposure, routine handling, as well as current and outmoded training techniques. If your pup is already present we may be able to start some simple training by the end of the first visit. Once your new livestock guardian puppy has arrived and settled in, bring me back for four 1-hour training appointments to answer questions and help set your puppy's behaviour off on the right track. Training can include: teething, appropriate play, beginner cues like "leave it", learning their name, leash skills, handling, livestock exposure, etc. Each lesson can be booked separately and when you need it. It might be all in the first month after puppy comes home, or several weeks between appointments. I recommend at least 1 week between sessions so everyone has a chance for practicing new skills before moving on to the next. Booking restriction during winter months: training requiring time spent outdoors must be booked in daylight hours to ensure the dogs body language is visible and the people are able to properly see and respond to their surroundings. This includes outdoor leash skill practice. Training that can be done in lighted spaces such as inside a lighted chicken coop, are allowed after dark. Additionally, exposure training with livestock requires appropriate weather conditions for pup and trainer. If pup indicates they are cold, in any way, outdoor training will end for the day. This package is only available for puppies under 6 months old at start of package. Remaining sessions will expire 1 year after purchase if not used.

LGD Consult (6 months+) Single Visit Wanting some training advice for your adult or adolescent livestock guardian dog? Let's see if I can help. (1) 1-hour appointment At the Client's home $60 (tax included) This appointment is a meet and greet on your property where I can meet you and your puppy/dog, establish a baseline of behaviour, training knowledge and your normal routines, and help set goals for your set-up. There may be simple training or environmental management options we can start right away. Depending on what goals are set, we will make a plan for future training sessions. Possible training topics might include: Teething, appropriate play, respecting gates, handling, car transport, leash skills, verbal cues, chasing behaviours, livestock exposure, etc. This appointment can be done as a stand alone if you would like to explore whether I am the right trainer for you, with no requirement to commit to training. It is a required starting point for all LGD dogs over 6 months old. Please note that true behaviour change takes time. Multiple training sessions are a normal expectation for change. Livestock guardian breeds are notoriously untrusting of strangers, so training may look more like coaching from outside the fence depending on your dog's tolerance.

(1) 1-hour visit At Client home $60 (tax included) Whether this litter is planned or an oopsie litter with the neighbour dog, let me help you set these puppies up for success. We’ll walk through the basics of what to expect, from appetite and hormone changes in mumma, doggy labor, how to support mum and puppies during and after birth, handling exercises for puppies, vet visits, early puppy training, tips for finding homes, and trouble shooting to help these puppies put their best paw forward. Service available for pet, farm, or guardian dogs. Available before or after puppies arrive. Feel free to book another litter visit if needed. Puppies are not required to have had any vaccinations if under 8 weeks old, however the mother of the puppies is, per insurance coverage.
